The NIFF Children's Program, headed by Andrea van Beuren, and now in its fourth year, presents the best in film for children and teens.
The program was created in 2004 and quickly grew to be an integral part of the NIFF experience.
Among the films that have screened in the Children's Program are Oscar winner MARCH OF THE PENGUINS, which featured a visit by live penguins from Seaworld, the Walden Media classic LASSIE and the 2007 Oscar nominee, SURF'S Up.
Although the Children's Program has included large studio productions prior to their theatrical release, the Program's primary focus is to screen independent features, short films and ocumentaries. The goal is to expose as many children as possible to films that will broaden their awareness of what is happening in the world around them (and to entertain them in the process!)
