Newport Weather

Newport in June

The Current Weather

Newport's June weather is the perfect mix of spring and summer. Days are warm, sunny and dry, with the average high around 70 ° to 75 ° F. Nights can get cool, with temperatures sometimes falling back into the 50s.

If it does get hot — a rarity this early in the season — you can count on Newport's unique island climate and proximity to the ocean to keep the temps anywhere from 10 to 15 degrees cooler than Providence.

Thank God for those afternoon sea breezes!

June is also a relatively dry month. The only month that gets less rain on average is July. While rain may be conducive to filling the theaters, we certainly don't pray for it. But remember — you'll have plenty of time outside film-going to enjoy the weather.
